    Rotator cuff injuries SUCK! Women over 40 are especially susceptible. 
If you have shoulder pain it means your shoulders need some care to keep moving well.

    Do your hip tilt forward making you back tight? Try this quad stretch with conscious placement of your pelvis. Everyday a couple of times at least.
    How do you listen to your body?

Being plugged into technology takes us away from the sensations of our own bodies.

When you want to find your way home to your body try these tips:

* Bring your attention to the sensations in your body
* Notice any tension or discomfort without judgement
* Get in a position where you can move this part of your body with kindness, either standing or lying down
* Allow your breath to become deeper
* Imagine you are breathing into the tension and discomfort as you are moving

The more you seek connection with your body by moving to nurture yourself the more she will tell you about what she needs.

    How are you decompressing after work today?

You know that sitting all day isn’t great for you. 

But what moves do you need at the end of the day?

I love thoracic extension plus legs in straps to get my thigh bones moving in my pelvis again. (You can use therabands, or treat yourself to studio Pilates).

If I have more time I get upper back and arm work and glute and hamstring work.

    Do you need more glute (butt) strength. The placement of your knee changes how your upper leg is working.
To get more glute engagement try keeping your knee over your ankle as you do your hip hinge to sit down in a chair or in your scooter exercise on the reformer.
